Using Animals For Science

Should the animals be used for scientific research? Is it humanly

A new argument has been occured recently between the people who supports the idea of the necessity of using animal for science and those who do not. Although there are some practices that are not ethical, in fact it is effective and neccessary to use animal for scientific works.

Supporters of the necessity of using animal for science think that they should be used for the benefit of science development. They say that everything can be used if it is for the sake of human health and human life. But it does't mean that we should kill animals whenever we want. It means that if it is significantly beneficial to human kind, it can be killed. For example it is wrong to use or exploite annimals for unnecessary luxuries such as for making fur. But it is acceptable to use them in school projects, for teaching resources, interesting and helpful information for scientists etc.

As Aristotle held the view that nature is a hierarchy in which those with less reasoning ability exist for the sake of those with more reasoning ability. For instance animal using is important in understanding diseases and developing new ways to prevent them.

All in all, it is wrong to kill animals for unnecessary things, but there is an inevitable truth that if something is beneficial to science or human kind it can be used without thinking.
